Picky Pup?

Some dogs are picky, some just don’t know what to do with new treats. If your pup is apprehensive of a treat, offer it as the only treat, don’t give a substitute you know they’ll love as they’ll learn they just need to wait to get something else.

You can also serve some of the new treats with their meal so that they get a whiff of it and learn its edible.

If your dog is still not liking an item, please let us know and we will credit the value of that treat to your account, so you get to try other options without paying double.

Are Bones safe to feed?

In general yes, bones are safe and healthy to feed your dog. Now there’s a lot of different bones and not all are equal. Cooked or smoked bones should NEVER be fed, as they can splinter and harm your dog. Dehydrated or freeze dried bones, on the other hand, are perfectly safe. We carefully select the bones we use for the right density and other attributes and dry them for several days at low consistent temperatures, to make sure they completely dehydrated leaving the bones inside in an easy to powder consistency.

How to chew?

Dogs instinctively know how to chew, but if they’re very eager chewers or haven’t tried meat or bones before, they may tend to try to bite off bigger chunks than they should, so in these cases we suggest the following:

Hold one end of the chew while your pup first tries a chew. Let your pup lick, start to taste the chew and hold it until they begin chewing on it. Repeat this a couple of times with their first chew, and watch them carefully to make sure they are accustomed to chewing before swallowing.

What about fur and feathers?

As you can see some of our treats come complete with fur or feathers on them. This does not clog your dog’s intestines on the opposite – it cleanses them! Of course moderation is key and furry or feathery items shouldn’t be fed more than once a week. The fur and feathers are your pups main source of manganese plus the fiber sweeps the tummy and has a de-toxins effect!

Why does your Food last so long without preservatives?

Simply because the moisture is carefully removed and without moisture, the deteriorating is inhibited.

Why Canine India?

Because we know what we are doing and have the best quality treats and food in the widest variety.

Storage

Our treats are long lasting for the simple reason that the moisture is removed, so they basically can’t go bad until moisture is added back.

Our freeze dried treats will last you for more than 25 years without having to store them cool or anything – pop the bag in the pantry and keep it until needed.

Our dehydrated treats will last 3 months in airtight containers, best stored in the fridge. If you want to keep them around longer, throw them in the freezer where you can keep them for over a year. Feeding frozen treats or chews can be a nice summertime treat!

Meals

We hear you! Feeding raw is a whole science itself and hard to coordinate plus it requires hours and hours of preparation each week. So we decided to do all your dirty work and calculations and present you the healthiest dog food available in India: our freeze dried raw meals.

We add NOTHING but human grade first quality meat, organs, bones, organic veggies, and fruits as well as supplements like probiotics, coconut oil, turmeric, kelp and many more. All you have to do is open the bag, pour a cup of water on the pre-made raw meal and after minutes your complete nutritious meal is ready to be enjoyed.

Subscriptions

Our subscription models are meant to keep your pup happy and well fed without you having to put another task on your to-do list. You pick the kind of meat and the value of treats you’d like to get delivered each month and pay ahead for 6 months, we will dispatch your box once a month unless you send us a message to skip a month.
