First of all, don’t worry! If we made a mistake we will of course make it right!
To make it easy for you and us please follow this procedure:
Please check the bill and delivered items right away when receiving your delivery – we try to cushion the food against breakage and sometimes when it seems a treat is missing it is actually hiding safely in the cushioning-paper.
Also don’t forget to check the labels as we club chews of the same protein (for example Turkey thigh and wing) in one pouch and if you order several times the same treat (for example 3 x Rabbit Bites 60 grams = one bag of 180 grams) we club that as well, unless you ask us not to club while checking out.
If you absolutely can not find something that is on the bill upon checking your Delivery from Canine India please take a photo with the box and delivered items including the labels (front side) and a picture of the bill right away and send it to orders@canineindia.in.
Please understand that we can only accept this information up to 48 hours after delivery.
Firstly, worry not if you realise right away – we’ve got you covered!
Please call our customer care number +91-8838326932 as soon as you can within the working hours (10 AM - 6PM - Monday to Saturday, excluding holidays) and inform us of the needed changes. Please be quick with checking your info!
If you happen to inform us once your order is shipped, we will still try to correct the information, if we are not able to do so, the order will be returned to us.
In that case we will send a new package to you for which we have to ask a nominal amount i.e. Rs. 400, since we are charged double fees for return shipments as well as we have to pack the order again.
We do not have a retail store at the moment but you’ll be the first ones to know when it happens!

Our Products
We gently air dry in big machines that keep the temperatures low and steady over days or even up to two weeks for some items! Everything we use is farm- or ocean fresh, always stored cool and hand prepared!
In general: Yes, bones are safe and healthy to feed your dog or cat. Bones carry essential nutrients and are an important part of the diet actually.
Now there’s a lot of different bones and not all are equal. Cooked or smoked bones should NEVER be fed, as they can splinter and harm your pet. Raw bones or bones that are air dried with the experience, right machines and knowledge on the other hand, are a great way to nourish your pet.
Make sure to monitor your pet when they munch on to make sure they gnaw and don’t try to gobble. If your pet is a gobbler, go for boneless or really big and sturdy bones to force them to slow down!

Dogs and cats need different nutrients than us humans. To fulfil all their essential nutritional needs, feeding nose to tail is the only way. Our pets need meat, bone and organs and actually what we call by-products are often the parts that carry the most nutrition.
We freshly source whole protein from farms and make an effort to provide the highest quality of handling and nutrition.
Our natural supplements are a great way of providing nutrients that you cannot easily source or prepare yourself such as bones and organs, or just to give more variety.
Another use of our supplements is to heal ailments by providing targeted nutrition to support the body's natural healing like strengthening joints, preventing parasites or supporting digestion.
Feeding different proteins is the key to offering rich nutrition so if your dog or cat loves chicken, try turkey or duck from Canine India to offer balance, variety but stay close to the favourite

Fur and feathers improve nutrient absorption, cleanse the gut from inside, and help express the anal glands. Because of that, stool/poop might look a bit weird after consuming. That just means the digestive system has been detoxed / cleansed.

After something has been chewed on, it's best to wrap it in a cloth and leave in a well circulated place or pop it in the freezer.
It’s most important to store your Canine India goodies away from moisture as specified on the pouch. As long as moisture doesn’t get to the food it will stay well.
If you did store some of our food in the fridge, don't store it outside again as the temperature fluctuations could spoil it.
Our supplements and meals can be stored in a cupboard for long periods of time easily.
Our treats and small chews stay well as long as they're kept away from humidity for a couple of months.
For bigger bones we suggest the freezer or you can wrap them in a cloth / paper towel and keep it in a cool dry place as well.

Feeding & Dosage
Slow is key! Just keep in mind how dense in nutrition our foods are, and introduce slowly. If your pet is new to this kind of food, or has a sensitive digestion, introducing new foods slowly is important.
If you're seeing some changes in digestion, give them a day or two. It's a normal process where they're learning how to absorb all the nutrients.
Chewing for around 20-30 minutes is a good place to start. If your pet likes to chew for longer that's completely fine.
If this is your first time giving a chew, the gums might show some scratches similar to when getting a dental scaling. That is nothing to worry about!
Alternating between different chews can help keep her/him excited and clean the teeth from different angles.
Happy Chewing!
Dogs and cats instinctively know how to chew, but if they’re very eager chewers or haven’t tried meat or bones before, they may tend to bite off bigger chunks than they should, so in these cases we suggest the following:
Hold one end of the chew while your pup first tries a chew. Let your pup lick, start to taste the chew and hold it until they begin chewing on it. Repeat this a couple of times with their first chew, and watch them carefully to make sure they are accustomed to chewing before swallowing.
Read our blog on how to pick the right chew here
Bones are actually an essential part of your dog’s diet.
Gnawing big bones or crunching and consuming smaller bones is crucial for mineral supply, mental and dental health as well as it benefits joint health and so much more.
Always make sure to monitor your pet while chewing to prevent them from gobbling. You can hold the bone at the back of their jaw to teach them how to gnaw if they tend to gobble.
If you are still hesitant to try a bone but want all the benefits of chewing, give a boneless chew a shot first!
Here is some extra information on chewing and how to pick the right chew for your pet.
All our dehydrated foods are air-dried at steady and comparatively low temperatures over long periods of time. Since most raw produce contains a large percentage of moisture/water, it gets a lot lighter when dried.
As the nutrition is retained inside the food but moisture is let go, the Canine India food is so very filling even if it looks like it’s not a lot. You can go by the basic rule that everything you get from us is about 3-4 times as filling as it seems due to the process we use.
Everything is an average based rule – please adapt to your pets individual needs as you wish.
For our Supplements: 1 teaspoon per 10 kg bodyweight daily – that means ½ teaspoon for cats, 1 teaspoon for small dogs, ½ tablespoon for medium sized dogs, 1 tablespoon for large dogs
For our Meals (if used as complete nutrition): ½ Cup for cats & small dogs, 1 Cup for medium sized dogs, 2 Cups for large dogs
Our Meals can also be used as a Foodtopper or Supplement!
For our Treats & Chews: Just keep in mind that they are way more filling than they seem because they are so much lighter after dehydrating them! Our food is at least 4 times heavier before drying!
It's not necessary to rehydrate. You can feed our food any way you and your pet prefer! Straight from the pouch, soaked in water or other liquid, mixed with other food or frozen into toys – there’s no limit to your creativity!
We recommend offering your pet a new protein or texture to give their diet an immediate boost.
You can tackle dental issues with chews, make meals more balanced with food toppers, training more exciting with treats, or help strengthen their immunity, digestion or joints with the right add-ons.

It is never too early to feed real good food! With Canine India food, when their jaw is able to munch it then they are ready to eat it.
The younger they are, the better it is to introduce them to different foods to make sure they grow strong and have the right nutrients to develop into strong, resilient adults.
Feeding a variety of textures and proteins will make for a strong start in life. Just remember to introduce everything slowly!
Introducing them to different proteins and textures early in life helps them grow strong and develop into healthy adults.
Particularly for puppies, chewing helps with teething, it strengthens joints, makes muscles grow and provides mental stimulation to train them to spend some time alone (and saves your furniture :) )!

Yes! One of the reasons we came up with our 100% natural Powders, Meals and Supplements is that we appreciate you trying to feed your pets what they need.
Any of our meals will give your pet the nutrition he/she needs (whether as an add on to their current food or as their whole diet). Our meals and food toppers keep well in a cupboard and don't have to be kept in the fridge. Simply keep them in the pouch they came in and feed whenever needed straight from the bag!
Simply because it’s air-dried food (not to be confused with kibble!). Chewing also is a workout for your pet so another reason why they will drink water – it’s a bit of a workout to eat our food!
You can always rehydrate by adding a liquid of your choice
Feeding more minerals can lead to harder stool, which can even look slightly white. That just means not all nutrients have been absorbed but your pet's body is learning. If the stool is a bit dark and soft, that just means excessive vitamins are being flushed out. Same thing, that just means your pet's body is learning to absorb it all. Just keep going and you'll see the poop getting better.
You can add it with any liquid or food that your dog/cat is having. Please just make sure not to cook it to retain maximum benefits. Start with a pinch and slowly increase the quantity so they can get used to it.
If your dog/cat is new to this type of food, then start by replacing a quarter of their regular food with the new meal and gradually increase after a few days. If you see any change in digestion, don't be alarmed. It does take the body a moment to get used to the new nutrition.
Firstly don’t worry. It might take them a moment to take to the new food since it's all natural and doesn't have any added flavours.
You can serve the food they are apprehensive about with something else they usually like to eat or just plain and simple – play with the new food to get their interest up!
Rehydrating or crumbling it changes the texture in case your pet has a special preference!
Health & Nutrition
The tartar would definitely scrape off from chewing harder bones - once a week at least to get rid of the build up. In combination with boneless chews for flossing and polishing, the teeth will be cleaned thoroughly.
Chewing increases blood flow in the gums as well so the first time especially if there is some tartar to remove, the gums might get some scratches. That's totally fine just like when you get a dental scaling.

Most important for hip and joint health is to provide Omega 3, Glucosamine, Chondroitin, Collagen and minerals in nutrients.
For example, fish chews such as salmon heads, fish nuggets carry all the nutrients that help heal cartilage in the joints. Chew bones of any kind such as goat, beef or turkey chews are a great option for joint health as well.
Chewing actually physically strengthens joints, bones and the tissue around them as well so chewing can be a great relief, not just nutritionally but also physically.

Don't worry, itches can often be fixed easily. If your pet is not getting enough Omega 3 and anti-inflammatory nutrients, it can often lead to itching and this can effectively be taken care of by just adding some fish or shellfish such as our Omega 3 powder, shellfish sprinkles as toppers, whole fish as crunchy snacks or even small chews fish nuggets or salmon tails.
Additonally, soil-based probiotics or green tripe are a great way to support the gut which also plays a big role for skin healing. If you'd like to learn more, just read our blog here
Of course! An all vegetarian diet can’t fulfil all nutritional needs of dogs and cats, so incorporating meat-based protein even in small quantities is a major health benefit. You can boost your pet’s diet in different ways. For example: try our food toppers or meals to add on to the bowl or let them have a natural chew. There's plenty of options that don't have to look like meat :)
